GETTING HERE

We get a number of questions relating to where we are and how to reach us at events every year, so in an effort to help you before you attend, we have listed some of them here for you to peruse before the event to make your visit as stress-free as possible!

 

WHERE IS THE EVENT BEING HELD?

GET TO US BY LAND, SEA OR AIR!

With excellent air links and rail and road network, getting to Edinburgh and the Royal Highland Centre from overseas or within the UK has never been easier!​

 

TRAVELLING BY CAR

The Royal Highland Centre (RHC) is located just outside of Edinburgh City Centre, next to Edinburgh Airport and within an easy drive of the M8 and M9 motorways. The Centre is within easy reach of the city centre and sits off Glasgow Road (A8) between Newbridge roundabout and the A8/airport roundabout, one of the main routes to the city. Access to the Royal Highland Centre is from A8/Airport roundabout to Eastfield Road. From there, signposts provide directions to the venue along Fairview Road onto Ingliston Road. For sat-nav, use the postcode EH28 8NB

 

TRAVELLING BY BUS

From Edinburgh, Lothian Buses run regular services including the Airlink 100, Skylink 200 & 300, plus services 20 & 63. All buses run regularly and drop-off close to the Royal Highland Centre. You can also get a coach into Edinburgh and transfer from the main city to the Royal Highland Centre, find more information on coach travel at Trainline.

 

TRAVELLING BY TRAM

The Tram stop nearest the Royal Highland Centre is Ingliston Park & Ride and is approximately a 20 – 25 minute walk to the RHC. For further information about planning your journey and booking Tram tickets visit https://edinburghtrams.com/.​

 

TRAVELLING BY TRAIN

Edinburgh Gateway Station by Gogar/The Gyle is the nearest train station to the Royal Highland Centre.  Haymarket Station and Waverley Station provide excellent links across the UK.  For more information contact National Rail on 08457 484950 or visit https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/. TRAVELLING BY PLANE

The Royal Highland Centre is situated adjacent to Edinburgh Airport. Over 180 flights connect Edinburgh to the rest of the UK and Europe each day and the Royal Highland Centre is just a ten-minute walk from the airport travelling along Fairview Road.
